Alli + Joel - Downtown Kitchener Wedding
Alli and Joel’s wedding was so, so sweet, it was truly one of my favourite weddings of 2022. Alli Joel fell in love at a friend’s backyard pool party, where they spent the night talking, getting skateboarding lessons from Joel and exploring downtown Kitchener. After that, the rest is history. They got engaged the night that they got the keys to their first house. Two amazing experiences in one night!
Alli and Joel got married in Downtown Kitchener and parts of their wedding took place in and around their favourite places in the DTK area. They had a beautiful outdoor backyard wedding at a friend’s house and did their first look in front of their home. Instead of a wedding party, they had their closest friends all wear a certain colour. Joel’s dad officiated their ceremony, which made it super personal and special.
After the ceremony, they met those friends at Goldie’s Convenience for a small cocktail hour. This is a super great example of how you don’t have to follow traditions if you don’t want to - you can make beautiful, special memories doing things your own way!
Their reception was at The Rich Uncle Tavern, a fantastic restaurant in Kitchener. The food was INCREDIBLE, and the restaurant was decorated beautifully. It was definitely the perfect vibe for this couple, and a great reminder that restaurants can be an amazing venue choice, especially for smaller weddings.
Alli and Joel’s wedding day was full of sentimental moments that I am so honoured to have been a part of. During the speeches, Alli’s mom was crying too much to get through it, so Alli joined her up at the stand. They both ended up crying together and it was just the sweetest moment ever! Their whole wedding was full of little moments like this and it was beautiful to see this couple share their love for each other and the love their friends and family have for them too.
